Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I request your attention please.
Today I’m going to be introducing you to the topic of Animal Cruelty. Animal Cruelty is when a person doesn't care about an animal or shows poor responsibility for that animal. Animal Cruelty can also be formed by a person abusing animals. You probably know a lot about Animal Cruelty. I strongly believe Animal Cruelty is wrong! No one should be harming animals in any way.
Sometimes you might see homeless cats and dogs wandering around or people dumping animals. I think that is wrong. It is sad to see pets like that, they all deserve homes! Someone needs to step up and do something. Even if it's just finding them a home or taking them to the SPCA. My family adopted two of my cats and my dog from the SPCA and from that day on they were, and still are, the best thing that ever happened to me.
The SPCA is a pet adoption place.They rescue animals from all over Greymouth and find them a home. They help all those harmless animals and make sure they are well looked after. The name SPCA isn't just some letters placed into one word, it actually stands for something and that something is, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Pets are important right? If so why do we see animals who are neglected? Neglect is where a human or animal doesn't live under a shelter with warm clothes and food. It's heart breaking to see so many people not caring about their animals or showing poor respon sibility towards looking after them. That needs to stop! There are ways to stop it, it's not impossible but it will be if no-one tries.
Not many animals are brought up on a farm. Yes, some pigs have been brought up on a farm but others haven't. Some of them are put in cages. Seeing caged pigs is quite sad. If you don't know what a caged pig is basically its just a pig who lives their whole life in a cage.
Animal cruelty is wrong. Someone has to step up. Remember the SPCA is only just a phone call away. Animal cruelty is a horrible thing to see especially for the animals who are getting abused. Please just hear me out one more time do the right thing before someone else does the wrong.
